NIP Programs is pleased to present a specialty insurance program designed specifically to service greenhouses, nurseries and independent garden centers nationwide -- GrowPro^®.  This program, a complement to our LandPro TreePro program for landscapers and tree services, is one of the most comprehensive insurance programs available for growers, with special coverages for crop loss      and the ability to tailor your coverage to seasonal fluctuations in inventory and crops.  

Program Guidelines

• Eligible Exposures:  Greenhouse Growers, Nursery Growers, Independent Garden Centers, Florists and Hybrids

• Ineligible Exposures:

  - Livestock on Premises

  - Selling or Growing of Fruits and Vegetables (Transplants acceptable,

    must sell directly to grower)

  - Operations with Fewer than 3 Employees, Including Partners and Owners

  - Agricultural Crop Spraying
  - Snow Removal (Limited snow removal may be acceptable)

• Coverage Options:   

  - General Liability - Premises and Operations  (limits up to $1M per

    occurrence/$2M aggregate)

  - Auto Liability (limits up to $1M per occurrence/$2M aggregate)

  - Property, including Equipment Breakdown (limits up to $15M per

    location)

  - Product Liability (limits up to $2M)
  - Umbrella Liability (limits up to $15M)
  - Workers’ Compensation (Statutory Limits)

• Special Coverages:

  - Coverage for greenhouse structures and crops for losses due to wind,

    collapse, failure of utility services and boiler or equipment breakdowns

  - Wind and hail coverage for outdoor plant inventory up to $250,000

  - Market value coverage on losses of greenhouse crops

  - Limited pollution liability coverage

  - Coverage limits can be tailored to seasonal fluctuations of crop and

    inventory

• Minimum Premiums:  $2,500 Package

• 3 Year Loss Runs:  Incurred 3-year loss ratios less than 50%
