Conventus Provides Members Free Infection Control Toolkit
New Tools & Resources Designed to Help Keep Member Practices in Compliance
(Woodbridge, NJ) February 18, 2010 – Conventus Inter-Insurance Exchange has released a new Infection Control Toolkit free to its members, the latest in a long line of value-added products and services designed to protect member practices and make them more efficient. Infection Control is an emerging area of liability and concern in physician offices. State Health Departments take reports of alleged breaches very seriously and can initiate extensive investigations resulting in office closure. These new resources will help Conventus member offices maintain their compliancy procedures more efficiently and effectively.
To support Conventus member offices in their infection control practices, the Conventus Risk Management team has developed self assessment tools that can be easily used by members or office staff to avoid common pitfalls. These tools include an Infection Control Checklist, Environmental Rounds Checklist and Cleaning Schedule. As a courtesy to members and in response to inquiries, Conventus has also compiled a resource list of Certified Infection Control Consultants throughout the state willing to consult in physician offices.
